Alternatively, tiles can be supplied to rejuvenate an existing suspended ceiling or we can help you to match existing tiles if you are replacing individual tiles due to damage.

What is a suspended Ceiling?

A suspended ceiling can be a secondary ceiling, hung below the main structural ceiling of a building or a primary ceiling underneath a Mezzanine Floor.

The area above a suspended ceiling is commonly used to conceal piping, wiring, and ductwork.

Yes, Wessex Interiors can supply new tiles to rejuvenate an existing suspended ceiling or we can help you to match existing tiles if you are replacing individual tiles due to damage. Please note tiles can only be purchased by the box, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What types of tiles do Wessex Interiors supply?

Wessex Interiors can supply plain tiles or fissured tiles, regular tiles or square edge tiles. Off-white tiles are the most popular colour however there are a number of other colours available. In hospitals and clean room settings, mould and mildew resistant tile may be used. Tiles can also be selected for its level of acoustic absorption.

Can my suspended ceiling be fire rated?

Yes, Fire resistance can only be achieved by a combined tile and grid system; there is no such thing as a fire resistant tile or a fire resistant grid. Suspended ceiling systems can typically provide 30 or 60 minutes protection depending on the application.
